Suspected Drug Dealer Busted With Crack, Heroin, Danbury Police Say

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man is facing several drug-dealing charges after officers executing search-and-seizure warrants at his apartment on Thursday, found crack and heroin, police said.

Police had been investigating Edwin Rivera, of 30 Fairfield Ridge Road, for several weeks after neighbors complained he was selling drugs, police said. 

Officers executed the warrants on Rivera and his home at 5:55 p.m. Thursday and found crack cocaine and heroin packaged for sale, police said. 

Rivera was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of cocaine, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell with in 1,500 feet of a school or public housing development and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. 

Rivera was arraigned and bond was set at $25,000, police said.
