RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A Ridgefield woman was charged Tuesday with evading arrest and stealing, said the Ridgefield Police Department.
The department was contacted by a Danbury Road business, Cellar 15, after they saw a woman place several bottles of wine into her purse, the report said.
According to the report, Ridgefield resident Jamie Hrdlicka, 51, had been approached by the store owners after she left the store. She then left the parking lot quickly, clipping a dump truck as she did so, the report said.
Police were able to contact Hrdlicka at her home and charged her with a misdemeanor for larceny in the sixth degree and released on a promise to appear. She is due Dec. 7 in Danbury Superior Court.
