Ridgefield Teen Charged In Connection With Party

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A Ridgefield teen has turned himself into police to face charges in connection with an April 6 party and burglary on North Street, police report.

Maxwell Jewett, 19, is expected to be the last person charged in connection with the party. Jewett turned himself in to police Aug. 17 on a warrant that also charged underage drinking at the party.

He was charged with two counts of criminal trespassing in the second degree, tampering with evidence, giving a false statement in the second degree and providing alcohol to minors, all misdemeanors.

Jewett was released on a $100 cash bond and is due in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
