Some Ridgefield High School students went to the Athletic Stadium on Kristine Lilly Way in Wilton as part of the game, police said. Because it had been publicized, Wilton High students knew about it and some of them confronted their northern neighbors at the stadium at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Police said there was a confrontation and altercation, and the Ridgefield teen was assaulted. The victim was later taken to the Danbury Hospital by his parents for injuries, police said. The incident was reported to police at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

No arrests have been made and no charges filed in the case, police said.

The administrations at both Wilton High and Ridgefield High have been notified of the incident, police said.

The investigation is ongoing by the Wilton Police Youth Division.

Police did not release details on the type of scavenger hunt game being played.
