Ridgefield Police Warn Motorists About Rash Of Car Break-Ins

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield police are reminding residents to keep their valuables out of their cars as officers investigated a rash of recent car break-ins in town.

Police have received reports about a total of three car burglaries that occurred between July 17 and July 21. In all cases, a window was smashed to gain access to the car, police said.

 Here is a list of incidents:

  • July 17: between 5:30 and 6:05 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation parking lot, 195 Danbury Road; 
  • July 21: between 6:45 and 7:20 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation parking lot, 195 Danbury Road; 
  • July 21: between 6:30 and 7:20 p.m. in the Dog Park/Scalzo Field parking area on Prospect Ridge Road. 

Police ask anyone who knows anything about the above incidents, or sees anything suspicious, to call the Ridgefield Police Department 203-438-6531.
