Ridgefield Police Honor Montanari Fuel For Providing Home Heating To Needy

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association presented Montanari Fuel with a plaque of appreciation for assisting with the “Winter Aid” program since its start.

In 2010, then Officer Jeff Raines met with Andy Montanari Jr. and thought it would be a great idea to assist a family in need during the cold winter months.

The PBA, along with Montanari Fuel, provides a Ridgefield family with 100 gallons of home heating fuel and a gift card for $100 to Stop & Shop.

“It’s a great program and without the assistance of Montanari Fuel and donations from the Ridgefield residents throughout the year, the program could not have lasted," Raines said.
