Ridgefield Girl Approached By Strange Men Offering Her A Ride

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Two strange men in a car approached a high school student in Ridgefield and offered her a ride last week, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The ninth grade girl was walking on Walnut Grove Road at around 2:35 p.m. on Friday, May 5 when the two men in a red car approached her and offered her the ride, police told the Ridgefield Press. The girl declined and kept walking, the Ridgefield Press reported.

Police began investigating after an account of the incident was posted on Facebook, according to the Ridgefield Press. The girl described one of the men as being around 60 years old, and the other in his mid-20s, the Ridgefield Press reported.

Police told the Ridgefield Press that the girl made the right cal in declining, and that they are keeping highly visible patrols in the area.
