Kevi Gonzalez, 20, of Bridgeport, an employee of Sarku Japan Restaurant in the Westfield Trumbull Mall, began yelling at customers and telling them to leave because there was no more food to be served, Trumbull Police said.
When customers complained, Gonzalez yelled and swore at them, then argued with one of the customers, police said. He then went into the kitchen, pulled out a butcher knife and challenged the customer to a fight, police said.
The man yelled for help from mall security, who intervened and separated the two, police said.
Gonzalez was charged with breach of peace and threatening. He was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 29.
