RIDGEFIELD, Conn. A Hartford man was stopped by Ridgefield police for speeding on Route 7 Sunday night and was charged with driving with a suspended license, police said.
Police said Pierre Betts, 24, was speeding while traveling south on Danbury Road. When police pulled him over, the report said, a check showed Betts was driving with a suspended license.
According to the report, the officer issued Betts a misdemeanor and charged him for driving with a suspended license and speeding.
Betts was released on a written promise to appear and is due Sept. 25 in Danbury Superior Court.
