Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Georgetown House Fire

REDDING, Conn -- Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a home on Wayside Lane in Redding Thursday, according to the Connecticut Post.

The fire at 11 Wayside Lane was reported around 6 a.m., and was quickly extinguished, the Connecticut Post reported. The home is off Route 107 in the Redding section of Georgetown, and drew firefighters from surrounding towns, according to the Connecticut Post.

By 6:30 a.m. the fire had been knocked down, and firefighters began checking for hot spots and investigating the cause of the fire, the Connecticut Post reported. The scene was cleared by 6:45 a.m., according to the Connecticut Post.
