Danbury Drivers Among Those Charged With DWI During Weekend Stops

More than a dozen Hudson Valley motorists were among those busted by New York State Police troopers over the weekend for driving while impaired on local roadways.

Since the holiday season, New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies were “out in full force” to curtail impaired drivers in the region.

Among those arrested include:

Friday, Jan. 19:

  • State police from Poughkeepsie arrested Poughkeepsie resident Steven Vollaro, 38, on Vassar Road in Poughkeepsie for driving while ability impaired by drugs and drug possession.
  • State police from Hawthorne arrested Tarrytown resident Carlos Estimar, 36, on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant after it was determined that he was driving while impaired by alcohol.

Saturday, Jan. 20:

  • State police in Dover arrested Peekskill resident Marco Saldana Chacha, 30, on Route 22 in Pawling after it was determined he was driving while impaired by alcohol.
  • State police from East Fishkill arrested Carmel resident Gregory Vycital, 42, on I-84 in Southeast after it was determined that he was operating his vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
  • State police from Brewster arrested Danbury resident Joshua Noonan, 34 on Route 6 in Southeast for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the subsequent stop, it was determined he was operating his vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
  • State police from Cortlandt arrested Danbury resident Rafael Arevalo, 23, on Route 9 in Peekskill for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the subsequent stop, it was determined that he was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
  • State Police from Hawthorne arrested Pleasantville resident Lauren Salvatierra, 25, after it was determined that she was operating her vehicle while impaired by alcohol on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant.
  • State police from Rhinebeck arrested Clinton resident Jaye White-Frost, 68, after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident and it was determined she was under the influence of alcohol.
  • State police from Hawthorne arrested Yonkers resident Christopher Bullock, 29, on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls after he was found to be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol following a stop for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

Sunday, Jan. 21:

  • State police from Hawthorne arrested Danbury, Conn. resident Keithly Bramble, 60, on the Sprain Brook Parkway after it was determined he was operating his vehicle while impaired following a motor vehicle accident in Greenburgh.
  • State police from Hawthorne arrested Yonkers resident Christopher Bullock, 29, in his home city when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation and found to be driving while under the influence.
  • State police from Wappinger arrested Yonkers resident Zhuri Amaker, 24, on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls following a vehicle and traffic law violation when he was found to be driving while impaired.
  • State police from Hawthorne arrested Carmel resident Edwin David, 42, on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident and found to be driving while impaired by alcohol.
Each of the motorists arrested was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. They have since been released and are due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
