3 Charged In Connection With Sale Of Cocaine At Norwalk Nightclub

NORWALK, Conn. — Three arrests were made late Friday in connection with the sale of cocaine from inside the Area 504 nightclub in Norwalk, police said in a statement.

The arrests of one woman and two men came after an investigation by the Norwalk Police Department's Special Services Division, police said. They served four arrest warrants on Segunda Alvarado, 51, and executed a search-and-seizure on her residence at 9 Warren St., 3rd floor, Norwalk.

The arrest-and-search warrants were secured after a lengthy narcotics investigation into Alvarado's sale of cocaine from inside Area 504 at 6 Commerce St., police said.

On Friday, investigators from SSD conducted a motor vehicle stop on Alvarado and her boyfriend, Luis Alonzo Amaya Palma, 44, also of 9 Warren St., police said.

Alvarado had 71 plastic baggies and 11 aluminum foil folds of cocaine, which weighed 46.77 grams, in her possession, police said.

Palma had 15 plastic baggies of cocaine, which weighed 7.56 grams as well as $847, in his possession, police said.

The cocaine was packaged for street level sales, police said.

Officers took Alvarado and Palma were taken into custody during the traffic stop, police said.

Investigators then executed the search-and-seizure warrant at 9 Warren St., 3rd floor, where they found Elsides Amaya Palma, 37, police said. 

Palma, who was uncooperative and physically combative, was placed under arrest, police said.

A search yielded $1,485 and an additional 263.91 grams of cocaine in the home, police said.

Officers seized a total of 318.24 grams of cocaine and $2,578 along with the 2007 Acura MDX, which was used the narcotics-trafficking enterprise, police said.

From the warrants, Alvarado was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. The bond for each warrant was set at $75,000. She was additionally charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and conspiracy for the incidents on Friday. The bond on those charges was set at $250,000.

Luis Palma was charged with possession of narcotics,  possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy and operating a motor vehicle without a license. His bond was set at $250,000.

Elsides Palma, also of 9 Warren St., was charged with interference with a search warrant and bond was set at $5,000.
