19-Year-Old Stabbed To Death In Danbury Fight

DANBURY -- A 19-year-old Danbury man was stabbed to death and a 20-year-old man was injured in a fight at Wooster and Grand streets late Saturday, according to a police report.

Officers responded to a report of a large fight at about 11:50 p.m. and found the two stabbing victims, said a statement from Lt. John M. Browne. 

The teen killed was identified as 19-year-old Luan Pitol of Danbury, Browne said.

The victims were treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene and transported to Danbury Hospital, Browne said.

Several suspects had fled the on foot before officers arrived, police said.  A search of the area by police personnel was conducted, and no suspects or weapons were located, police said.

Detectives and evidence personnel also responded to the scene, police said.

This was the second homicide reported in Danbury this year. In October, Christian Williams, 25, was charged with manslaughter in the beating death of his 19-month-old son.
