Shawn Brooke Lipson, 53, Of Ridgefield, Casting Director, Warner Bros

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Shawn Brooke Lipson of Ridgefield died Saturday, July 19. She was 53.

Lipson was born Oct. 15, 1960, in Winona, Minn. and was the daughter of Nell Anthony Linahan of Scottsdale, Ariz. and William Linahan. She was raised in Winona, and attended Winona schools, Winona High School and then California State University-North Ridge where she attained her Bachelor's degree in Radio, Television Broadcasting and Production. Upon her graduation she joined American Broadcasting Corp. (ABC) and later Warner Bros. Entertainment (Lorimar Telepictures) where she was a casting director for shows including Full House and Knots Landing. Most recently she was director of operations and human resources at CGSM Inc. and Your Cover LLC in Wilton. A resident of Ridgefield since 1990, she was a longtime leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts as well as a volunteer at Scotland Elementary School.

Lipson is survived by her husband, Stuart J. Lipson; children, Brynna Lane Lipson and Neeleigh Eliza Lipson, and Braeden Anthony Lipson; brother, Todd Linahan of Fresno, Calif.; and sisters, Kim Lee of Prior Lake, Minn., and Shannon Linahan of Scottsdale, Ariz. She was predeceased by her father, William; and sister, Leigh.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a time and place to be announced. There will be no calling hours.
