RIDGEFIELD, N.J. — Robert Weikl, 91, died Monday, Nov. 16.
He was the beloved husband of Erna, the loving father of Bob, Rudy and his wife Nancy, and Erik and his wife Carly and a cherished Opa to Josef, Emily, Christina, Krissy, Katie, Olivia and Lauren.
Weikl was born in Bodenmeis, Germany; he emigrated to the United States in 1951, and became a citizen in 1992.
He worked as a butcher for 26 years in North Bergen at Miller Abattoir. He was a beloved and kind man, soft spoken, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and working in his backyard garden.
Family and friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield.
