RIDGEFIELD, N.J. -- Ridgefield resident Maria (nee Attisano) Marrone died on Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 79.
Born in Italy, Marrone was a seamstress at Evan Picone, in North Bergen, before she retired.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Benedetto Marrone; daughter Francesca Marrone; siblings Carlo Attisano and his wife Carol, George Attisano and his wife Phyllis, and Rosanna Mariani; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Marrone was predeceased by her son-in-law, Antonio.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., in Cliffside Park. A funeral will be from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, thence to St. Matthew Church, in Ridgefield, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, in Fairview.
