RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Joseph W. Cunningham of Ridgefield died Friday, Oct. 24. He was 77.
Cunningham was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Yonkers, N.Y., to Robert and Irene (Budrock) Cunningham. He was a Ridgefield resident for the past 41 years coming from Kent, N.Y. He worked as a marketing manager for Nestle and he also held marketing and management positions for other corporations. He was a member of the Carmel, N.Y. Jaycees and also a member of Founders Hall, Ridgefield. He had served as both a cubmaster and scout master for local cub scout and boy scout troops in Ridgefield.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Ridgefield and served as an eucharistic minister.
Cunningham is survived by his wife, Deanna (Allen) Cunningham; sons, Michael Cunningham (Annette) of Manchester and Robert Cunningham of Ridgefield; daughter, Lisa (Cunningham) Nelson (Keith) of Methuen, Mass.; sister, Mary Anne Orloff of Chesterfield, Va.; and two grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield. Interment will be private.
