RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Longtime Ridgefield resident Joan (Gilbert) Grant died on Friday, May 6. She was 84.
A native of Bridgeport, Grant moved with her family to New York at an early age and graduated from Port Chester High School in the Class of 1949.
In 1956, Mrs. Grant moved to Stamford and was employed with Pitney Bowes.
For the past 47 years she has been a resident of Ridgefield where she was an employee of the former Digitech and later joined Boehringer Ingelheim where she was the administrative assistant to the Vice President of Marketing.
Grant is survived by a son, Frank “Chip” Grant of Ridgefield; brothers-in- law; a sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank R. Grant and parents William and Mary (MacPherson) Gilbert.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be private.
There will be no calling hours.
