Jeffery Anderson Scott, 71, Of Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Jeffery Anderson Scott, 71, of Ridgefield, died Friday, June 26 at Danbury Hospital.

He was the husband of Mary Jane (Gomez) Scott for 48 years. He was born May 25, 1944, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, son of the late Dr. Roderic and Joyce (Komanec) Scott. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Marymount College and a master’s degree in computer science from Pace University. He worked for the majority of his corporate career in information technology.

Scott was also an adjunct professor in information technology at several area colleges. As a resident of Ridgefield for the past 46 years, he was a member of the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Police. He also volunteered his time with the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium and The Danbury Railway Museum. He was a former member and instructor for the Norwalk Power Squadron and he was an avid sailor.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, he is survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law; three nieces; one nephew; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at the Ridgebury Congregational Church, 605 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield. Interment will take place following the funeral service in Ridgebury Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
