Jayne S. Wallbrunn, 61, Former Ridgefield Resident

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Jayne S. Wallbrunn, a Black Rock resident and formerly of Ridgefield, died Sunday, Jan. 3. She was 61.

Wallbrunn had a varied career, mirroring her wide range of interests: cooking, literature and finance. She managed The Food Chandler restaurant in Ridgefield for many years. She also was a consultant for Reader's Digest and worked as a banking executive.

Wallbrunn also loved sailing, music, books, photography and dogs. She was an active member of Pequot Yacht Club in Southport and was a co-owner of a J36 sailboat.

She is survived by her sisters Sandy Evans of Ponte Vera Beach, Fla., Amy DePalma of Wading River, N.Y., and Betsy Stoner of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; six nieces and nephews; and her two pugs, Tucker and Crosby.

Wallbrunn was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Robert and Elizabeth Wallbrunn.

There will be no calling hours, and a memorial service will be scheduled in the spring. Kane Funeral Home, in Ridgefield, is in charge of arrangements.
