He owned and operated the "Roamin’ Catholic" bookmobile and traveled to churches throughout Dutchess County, to propagate traditional Catholic doctrine and reading material. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Marie (Hutchinson) Lawrence.

Visiting hours will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral, a High Requiem Mass for the Dead, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Christ the King Church, 209 Tackora Trail, Ridgefield. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ridgefield.
