Francis B. Cullen, 75, Of Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Francis “Frank” B. Cullen, a longtime resident of Ridgefield, died Sunday, Oct. 30, at Norwalk Hospital. 

He was injured in an automobile accident the previous Thursday morning in Wilton. 

Born in Ossining, N.Y., on May 22, 1941, he was the son of Joseph and Ellen Cullen.

Upon graduating from Ossining High School, Class of 1959, he went on to earn his engineering degree from the New York School of Engineering in Manhattan. He went on to work as a mechanical engineer for a variety of companies before retiring from Avco Lycoming in Stratford. 

In his later years, he chose to accept a position as a professional chauffeur, which allowed him to pursue his longtime passion for driving automobiles.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Cullen of Danbury; daughter, Dana E. Cullen-Valentino, of Bridgewater, N.J.; their mother Elaine Trezza of Danbury; grandson Joshua Valentino of Bridgewater, N.J.; brother Joseph Cullen of Mahopac, N.Y.; three sisters, Martha Peterson of Mobile, Ala., Ellen Harper of Kingston, R.I., and Therese Sullivan of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family also made a special acknowledgement to longtime friend Robert “Binky,” in addition to the many friends and co-workers at Regency Limousine that Frank held dear and considered family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 W. Church St., Georgetown. A memorial ceremony will be held in Ossining at a future date.
