RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Enid C. Glover of Ridgefield died Saturday, June 7. She was 96.
Glover was born July 14, 1917, in Trinidad, the daughter of Connell and Elaine (Johnson) Gittens. She came to the United States as a child, settling with her family in New York City, where she attended New York public schools and graduated from Haaren High School. She was employed as a supervisor with the New York Police Department at the time of her retirement. She was a resident of Ridgefield, moving from the Bronx, N.Y., in 1998.
Glover is survived by her daughters, Diane Cinque (Thomas) of Copake, N.Y., Cynthia Veilleux (Bert) of Ridgefield and Susan Glover (Brian) Murphy of Germantown, N.Y.; son, Ronald Glover of Chatham, N.J.; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent A. Glover.
Calling hours are Thursday, June 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Kane Funeral Home , 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield. Services will be held Thursday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
