RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Elizabeth Scalzo of Ridgefield died Monday, March 31. She was 81.
Scalzo was born May 23, 1932, in Detroit, Mich., and was the daughter of Damion and Gitza Lazaroff of Lome, Bulgaria. She spent most of her life in Michigan, growing up as a dancer. She worked at Michigan National Bank and Ford Motor Company.
Scalzo is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Kathy, Karen, Kristine, John and Kimberly all of the Detroit Metro Area, Tom of Ridgefield and Kolleen of Redding; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Calling hours are after 9 a.m. until the time of the service at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Scalzo’s memory may be made to Founder’s Hall, the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, or R.O.A.R. all of Ridgefield.
