RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- After two days of work this week on Route 35, the drivers in Ridgefield will get a one-day reprieve on Thursday from the alternating one-way traffic.
State Department of Transportation officials said there would be no alternating one-way traffic on Thursday, Jan. 28 on Route 35 near the Fox Hill Condominium entrance in Ridgefield.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation will resume working on that stretch of Route 35/Danbury Road on Friday.
The construction is part of a year-long project to replace the small bridge over Ridgefield Brook.
One-way traffic patterns are being used from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to lessen the impact on commuters as roadwork continues in that area.
