Thunderstorm Causes Power Outages In Ridgefield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — An early morning thunder and lightning storm caused power outages across parts of northern Fairfield County on Wednesday.

As of 8:15 a.m., Eversource was reporting the following outages: 

  • Danbury: 476 customers, or 1 percent of the city 
  • Redding: 162 customers, or 4 percent of the town 
  • Ridgefield: 1,589 customers, or 15 of the town 

There was no word on when the outages would be restored.
