Slow-Going Traffic Clears Along I-95, Merritt In Fairfield County

Update: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Traffic was clearing Wednesday as the rush-hour commute ended.

Original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Slow-moving traffic was reported early in the Wednesday morning commute along I-95 and the Merritt Parkway, especially in the Bridgeport and Fairfield areas, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.

Delays were reported on I-95 south for 17.5 miles between Exit 27 in Bridgeport and Exit 11 in Darien.

Congestion was reported on the southbound Merritt Parkway for 12.4 miles from Exit 50 to Exit 41.
