Ridgefield Seeks Community-Minded Volunteers For Boards, Committees

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The town of Ridgefield is seeking members of the community to serve on a number of boards and committees in town government.

The Ridgefield Economic Development Commission has an opening for a new member. The purpose of the commission is to seek to implement orderly and planned economic development, in keeping with the character of the town.

Meetings are held monthly, or at least 10 times per year. The term of each member is one year.

At this time, the commission is looking for candidates with town or municipal planning experience.

Vacancies exist on the following other town boards as well:

  • Architectural Advisory Committee (alternate position)
  • Cable TV Advisory Council
  • Commission on the Disabled
  • Northwest Regional Mental Health Board
  • Pension Commission 
  • Ridgefield Arts Council
  • Ridgefield Housing Authority
  • Tree Committee
