RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Ken Fitzpatrick of Ridgefield has been waiting for news of his missing brother, Bill Fitzpatrick, a pilot who disappeared June 22 while transporting a plane for African Parks from Senegal to the Republic of Congo, reports The News-Times.

Bill Fitzpatrick was transporting a newly acquired Cessna 172 to a base in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, according to the News-Times. African Parks was notified June 23 that he had never arrived for a scheduled fuel stop in the city of Douala in Cameroon, according to the report.

The report also states that the U.S. State Department has coordinated with African Parks to search for the missing pilot.
