RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield will hold a special town meeting on whether to approve a $385,000 state grant to pay for the demolition of the unneeded buildings at the Schlumberger site.
The special meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in Town Hall, 400 Main St.
The Ridgefield Board of Selectmen will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. before the meeting. The selectmen will then hold their regular meeting after the town meeting on the Schlumberger buildings is complete.
In the executive session, the selectmen will consider 10-acre parcel bids for the Schlumberger site, according to the meeting agenda.
In the town meeting, voters will decide on a resolution calling for the environmental demolition, abatement, remdiation and monitoring at the site at 36 Old Quarry Road.
After the town meeting, the Board of Selectmen will address its agenda items as follows:
