"The Ridgefield High School community joins together to mourn the unexpected passing of sophomore Emma Sandhu. We send our sympathies and prayers to Emma's sister Morgan (Class of 2013), her parents, family and friends.

"The high school will be open on Monday, March 17. We will begin our day with an Advisory Session and then follow a modified Day F schedule. Throughout the day support will be available beginning in Advisory class.  Counselors, psychologists and our social worker are additional resources for our students. We're also fortunate to have Comfort Therapy Dogs who will be in identified areas to aid in this process.

"This, of course, is truly a tragic time for our school community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Emma's family."
