RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Although Ridgefield residents are slowly regaining electric power, officials expect progress to be slow as crews begin to deal with heavily damaged areas, officials said in a news release Wednesday night.
Connecticut Light and Power has assigned crews to restore power to downtown senior housing and emergency facilities, and the National Guard will assist crews to clear blocked roads.
Officials also urged residents to keep generators outside and away from structures. WiFi and charging stations are available at the Town Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Parks and Recreation at 195 Danbury Road.
Drinking water stations are available at the Ridgefield Playhouse, Parks and Recreation and Fire Station 2 on Old Stagecoach Road.
