Police: Vehicle Tears Up The Turf At Ridgefield Ball Field

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — The grass is torn up at the ball field at Shadow Lake in Ridgefield, the town's police department said as it worked to find the driver who caused the damage.

At about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Ridgefield police officers were dispatched to the Shadow Lake ball field, which was damaged with criss-crossing tire tracks. 

"It was determined that a vehicle(s) was driven onto the baseball field causing considerable damage. We are still in the process of determining the time frame in which the damage occurred," police said in a post on its Facebook page.

Police are working to determine how many and what types of vehicles were involved in causing the extensive damage.
