Greenwich's Linda McMahon Joins Trump On Texas Visit After Harvey

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Small Business Administrator and Greenwich resident Linda McMahon traveled to Texas with President Donald Trump on Tuesday to help with recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

McMahon said via Twitter that she was in Texas to ensure that the Small Business Administration's disaster assistance team was ready to support the people of Texas.

"We stand ready to help," she tweeted.

She said that the SBA has 900 disaster assistance staff members and has activated additional surge staff in support of Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. 

McMahon has been active on Twitter throughout the weekend, tweeting information about the storm, forecasts, preparation and recovery efforts, as well as shelter information and where people can apply for relief.

McMahon co-founded the Stamford-based World Wrestling Entertainment in 1980 with her husband, Vince McMahon, and served as CEO. She also founded the organization Women's Leadership LIVE. She has served as head of the Small Business Administration since February.
