Randall Pineau, a 52-year old Sandy Hook resident, was killed after his pontoon boat was hit by a ski boat when he was out at night on Lake Zoar. 

Don’t be surprised if you hear the iconic strains of “It’s Not Easy Being Green” in town: The new voice of Kermit the Frog is none other than Fairfield resident Matt Vogel.

Anny Castillo, a 22-year-old Danbury resident, has been arrested and charged with abandoning her newborn baby boy behind a market on Main Street in May, police said.

L.A. Tavern Kitchen & Bar has officially opened, bringing an American-Latin menu and farm-fresh ingredients to Black Rock’s bustling Fairfield Avenue. They'll be hiring soon at the job-hunting website Indeed. The company will invest $26.5 million to expand its Stamford offices and add as many as 500 new workers to its current 700-employee workforce. 

Two doctors with a medical practice in Norwalk have been charged with writing opioid prescriptions in exchange for cash — an operation called a "pill mill" by federal prosecutors — as well as health care fraud and money laundering. Bharat Patel, 70, of Milford was arrested while 47-year-old Ramil Mansourov of Darien was being sought by law enforcement.

What started as a simple idea at a barbecue has turned into a product design business for Anne and Joe McMahon of Weston. After watching people struggle to butter their corn on the cob, they thought there had to be a better way. They developed ButterOnce, built around the idea that one time is all that's needed to properly (and easily) butter corn.

Stamford police spent hours directing traffic after a tractor-trailer struck a railroad underpass on East Main Street on Tuesday. 

Laura Ramos, 31, a former Central High School teacher, went to court with her husband by her side for her arraignment on a charge of second-degree sexual assault on a special education student.
