Dense Fog Advisory Envelopes Ridgefield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A dense fog advisory is in effect until midnight Thursday, March 26, across Fairfield County as a thick layer of moisture settles over the region, the National Weather Service warns.

Visibility for travelers could be a quarter-mile or less in places through the evening, making for hazardous road conditions.

Drivers should slow down, use low beam headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead in case a sudden stop is needed.
