CL&P Repairs Power Outages In Ridgefield

7:35 p.m. update: RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Connecticut Light & Power has restored nearly all the power outages reported Friday evening in Ridgefield. Only 12 outages were reported as of 7:35 p.m.

Original story: RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Connecticut Light & Power is reporting a large power outage in Ridgefield early Friday evening.

As of 6:20 p.m. Friday, a total of 474 customers in Ridgefield are without power, or 4 percent of the town, CL&P said.

The Ridgefield Press ‏reported via Twitter @RidgefieldPress that wires were down on Ridgebury Road near Ridgefield High School.

It was not clear how long it would take CL&P to repair the problem.
