Choking Hazard Leads To Recall Of Kraft Singles

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- According to the federal Food and Drug Administration, the Kraft Heinz Co. is voluntarily recalling select Kraft Singles individually wrapped cheese slices due to choking hazards.

There is a possibility that a thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain adhered to the slice after the wrapper has been removed, Kraft said. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it becomes a potential choking hazard, Kraft said.

The recall applies to 3- and 4-pound sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product with a best when used by date of Dec. 29 through Jan. 4, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55.?
