Ridgefield's Martin Park Beach Is Open For Summer Season

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Martin Park Beach offers pond swimming and boating activities during the summer season.

The season will run through Sept. 7 and the park, located at 19 Great Pond Road, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Lifeguard staffing is provided during operation hours from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The park also offers Zoom Floom, Wibit Slide, water mat, a playground, volleyball, kayak renting and more.

Memberships and daily admission are available to Ridgefield residents and non-residents. Seasonal memberships/family membership includes all legal dependents within a family (including nannies). Adult offspring of the family must be residents and legal dependents to receive a pass. Residents cost $168; non-residents cost $250; senior residents ages 60 and up are free; and senior non-resident ages 60 and up cost $230.

Each membership will receive one guest card good for four free visits for the guest(s) of your choice. Individual memberships are valid for one person only. Individual memberships cost $91 for residents; $116 for non-residents; free for senior residents ages 60 and up; and $106 for senior non-residents ages 60 and up.

A $3 special services fee has been added to all individual and family memberships. This fee is used to fund town special services. Residents and non-residents may pay a daily admission fee on a drop-in basis. Residents must provide proof of residency at the gate at each visit. The ticket is good for the day of issue only. Daily admission fees may be applied to purchasing a season pass if presented and purchased before the end of business the following day only.

The cost per person for daily admission is $15 for residents; $20 for non-residents; free for senior residents ages 60 and up; and $18 for senior non-residents ages 60 and up, or free when accompanied by a member. Guest passes, which allows patrons to visit the beach up to four times, cost $50 for residents and $70 for non-residents.

In the event of thunder or lightning, swimmers will be instructed to exit the water and the park may close at the discretion of the lifeguards. If Martin Park is closed to the public, passes will also be honored at the Recreation Center pool.
