Ridgefield Guest Bartender Fundraiser To Help Meals On Wheels

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield is set to host a fundraiser during Ristorante Gallo's Guest Bartender Night.

State Rep. John Frey, longtime MOW volunteer Bob Lang, First Selectman Rudy Marconi, and Gallo Business Manager Jeff Hennig will bartend on April 24 to help raise funds for Meals on Wheels Ridgefield.

The evening fundraiser is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Ristorante Gallo at 5 Grove St. in Ridgefield. State Rep. John Frey, longtime Meals on Wheels volunteer Bob Lang, First Selectman Rudy Marconi, and Gallo Business Manager Jeff Hennig will bartend throughout the evening to help raise funds for Meals on Wheels.

"Everyone is welcome to this fundraiser, which will support MOW’s mission of providing nourishing meals to those needing assistance," said a press release.

The nonprofit Meals on Wheels will benefit from all bar tips and 10 percent of bar transactions through the evening fundraiser. The night includes a raffle for items such as gift certificates for Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, Results Personal Training & Fitness Center and Ristorante Gallo.

As an independent not-for-profit corporation, Meals on Wheels is "able to serve Ridgefield residents determined to be in need, with satisfying, tasty and nutritious meals," according to the release.

"MOW relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and philanthropic organizations that support its mission," a press release said. "Last year, clients received more than 20,000 handcrafted lunches and dinners made in the pristine stainless steel MOW kitchen in Ballard Green."
