The exhibit begins with a reception Friday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The show, which continues through Sunday, March 29, features paintings and prints by multimedia artist Nancy Moore, nature photography by Chris Rexon, and photography both vintage and contemporary by Roy Weinstein.

A portion of the artists’ sales proceeds will go to support ongoing restoration of the Carriage Barn, which was designed and built by renowned architect Cass Gilbert.

All three artists have longstanding careers in their chosen fields and have exhibited at galleries and in shows throughout the area.

Moore’s works incorporate wax crayon, paint, pencil, woodcut and fiber and may be found in private collections nationwide. She will exhibit animal images and new pieces on the theme “unconventional women,” depictions of women “whose beauty we need to see more deeply,” she says.

Rexon’s photography brings viewers into intimate nature scenes—from delicate flowers in bloom to grazing wild horses. She often collaborates on art projects that support community and nonprofit programs.

Referring to the Carriage Barn exhibit space and the Museum’s plans for it, Rexon says she “would love to see this beautifully designed and constructed barn…provide space for artistic and educational exhibits, lectures, and workshops.”

Weinstein, a longtime member of the National Press Photographers Association and the New York Art Directors Club, has had his works published in The New York Times, Newsday, The Washington Post, and many travel and fashion magazines. He will exhibit vintage Polaroid transfer photographs as well as colorful pop art portraits of horses, reminiscent of Andy Warhol’s work.

“Three Takes on Color” will be open Friday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22, noon to 5 p.m.; and Wednesday, March 25 through March 29, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Keeler Tavern Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is located at 132 Main St. in Ridgefield.

The museum presents three centuries of the region’s history through the lives of the families that occupied the site starting in 1713. It offers docent-led tours of its period-furnished building February through December. Its Cass Gilbert-designed garden is open to the public year ‘round, except during private events.
