RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield residents are invited to the town-wide Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt starting Friday.

Keeler Tavern Museum’s Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt runs from Friday to Sunday around town, according to a press release. To prepare, residents can make and decorate their own scarecrows after picking up frames for $20 at Keeler Tavern Museum. Scarecrows need to be handed in by Thursday at the museum to be entered into the scavenger hunt.

"The scarecrow that you and your team make will be placed in one of many locations throughout Ridgefield," the release said.

The scavenger hunt starts Friday during the "Fall in Love With Ridgefield" weekend. People are encouraged to find the scarecrows and vote for their favorites. Voting can be done by either visiting the scarecrow and placing a vote in the nearby ballot box or by going to the Keeler Tavern Museum's Facebook page and liking the scarecrow, according to the release. A prize will be awarded to each winner, sponsored by Keeler Tavern Museum and downtown Ridgefield.

Residents with questions are asked to contact Hilary Micalizzi at 203-748-1235 or visit the Keeler Tavern Museum during office hours or visit the Keeler Tavern Museum's website .
