Hilary Micalizzi, Keeler Tavern Museum program chair, is recruiting citizens of all ages to join the Battle of Ridgefield II at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 27 in the Garden House at Keeler Tavern Museum.
A contest of wits rather than arms, teams of up to eight members will answer volleys of questions about local, state and national history. At stake are glory, camaraderie and bragging rights, as well as a special trophy.
The cost per contestant is $15, which includes light refreshments.
There is limited seating. For online registration and more details, go to KeelerTavernMuseum/Events.org or call 203-438-5485.
The Keeler Tavern Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is at 132 Main St.
The museum presents three centuries of the region’s history through the lives of the families that occupied the site starting in 1713. It offers docent-led tours of its period-furnished building February through December. Its Cass Gilbert-designed garden is open to the public year-round, except during private events.
