RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Southern rock n roll royalty comes to the Ridgefield Playhouse July 11 with the blues-rock group Royal Southern Brotherhood.
Cyril Neville, Devon Allman, Mike Zito, Charlie Wooton and Yonrico Scott make up the group and released their debut album in early May.
With a bloodline that flows from Professor Long Hair to Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred McDowell to Govt Mule, and Allmans southern Jam Rock to the Neville Brother's Southern Soul music, the Royal Southern Brotherhood keeps a long music lineage burning bright, a press release from the playhouse said.
The group will be joined on stage by Connecticut trio Johnny Boots, who also performs blues-rock.
For more information or to purchase tickets for $38, go to the Ridgefield Playhouse website or call 203-438-5795. The concert is a part of the Guinness Black Lager Rock Series.
