All the models who were chosen have either battled cancer themselves or have been personally affected by the disease.

On Wednesday, May 20, the Playhouse turns into a design house complete with a runway where local “celeb” models show off clothing and accessories at the “Spring Into Fashion” event.

All proceeds will benefit Ann’s Place, a Danbury-based cancer support facility.

Shopping, makeup applications from Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, cupcakes courtesy of The Cake Box, and an X-rated Fusion Liqueur tasting courtesy of Campari America will launch the fun evening in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. The professional fashion show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Models include Kristen Jensen, Bethan Austin, Amy Mosley, Sarah Bouissou, Lori Jabara, Karen Mulreed, Beth Ann Fetzer, Leslie Krichko, Lynn Stubbe, Kathy Matero, Peggy Marconi, Valerie Jensen and Adrianna Pappas.

The fashion experts will share their savvy about getting a classic spring wardrobe in beautiful shape for spring through summer. From the office to the beach, to that perfect summer getaway, wardrobe and accessorizing tips will inspire. Because all proceeds will benefit Ann’s Place, a nonprofit agency located on the Danbury/Ridgefield border that serves more than 800 men, women and children from Connecticut and New York who have been impacted by cancer, it’s a must-attend event.

Ann’s Place depends upon the generosity of the philanthropic community to fund their wide variety of services, all of which are offered at no charge to their clients. For more information, visit annsplace.org
