RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Kicking off William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty's new satellite gallery in Ridgefield is an exhibit by Redding artist Kathy Coe.
Coe creates custom oil portraits and drawings. Her series, “Tea Cups,” is the body of work currently on display at the gallery, which is at William Pitt's office.
Coe studied at the Ducret School of Art in New Jersey, Pratt Institute and the National Academy of Fine Art and Design in New York.
Throughout her more than 20-year career, Coe has won numerous awards for her talent and ability to capture each of her subject’s personalities in her work.
Her fine art forms include still life paintings in oil and acrylic, custom oil portraits and drawings, as well as charcoal and graphite drawings that evoke warm and personal, old-world styles.
William Pitt Sotheby has teamed with the Ridgefield Guild of Artists to establish the satellite gallery. The office will feature the works of local and regional artists whose works will be rotated every three to four months.
“We are excited to enhance the decor of our new office with Kathy’s beautiful artwork,” said Joe Monaco, manager of the Ridgefield brokerage. “The series is truly extraordinary, and we are thrilled to be a part of this collaboration with the Ridgefield Guild of Artists. It’s a great way to promote local art, while adding a distinct, welcoming character to our office.”
The exhibit will be open to the public for viewing during business hours and will be available for sale. Hours are Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
