Yonder Mountain String Band To Play Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Yonder Mountain String Band will bring its mix of bluegrass and indie rock to the Ridgefield Playhouse at 8 p.m. July 8.

The bluegrass band will perform hits such as "40 Miles from Denver" and "Half Moon Rising," as well as songs from their latest album "Black Sheep."

The group is now a five-piece band with the additions of violinist Allie Kral and mandolinist Jacob Jolliff along with original members Adam Aijala (guitar, vocals), Dave Johnston (banjo, vocals) and Ben Kaufmann (bass, vocals). 

Connecticut-based Union Rail will open the show with its old-time American sound.
