Friday, Oct. 5

Tag Sale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Antiques, collectibles, jewelry, sterling and plate, china, paintings, prints, clothing and many other items will be on sale at what is being billed a “huge” tag sale. 41 Bloomer Road, Ridgefield.

First Fridays Cocktail Party: 7-9 p.m. Celebrate the autumn harvest with First Fridays to jump start your leaf-peeping weekend. Enjoy the evening and meet up with old friends and meet new ones while you enjoy a leisurely docent-led tour of selected artists from the exhibitions. The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main St., Ridgefield.

Get the Led Out: 8-11 p.m. Led Zepplin fans should get over to the Ridgefield Playhouse for what many have called the best Zepplin cover band. Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 E. Ridge Road, Ridgefield.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Bernese Mountain Dog Walk: 1-3 p.m. Ever seen a Bernese? Head over to Main Street and see a parade of them taking a walk with their owners. The parade starts at St. Stephens Episcopal Church and residents are reminded all dogs should be on a leash. Main Street, Ridgefield.

A Workshop with Jane Benson: 2-4 p.m. Exhibiting artist Jane Benson’s most recent body of work involves “splits” — slicing violins, violas, cellos and double basses in two. The workshop will include a demonstration by Benson, opportunities to experiment with hybrid musical instruments and time to explore the relationship between sound and instrumental sculpture. The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main St., Ridgefield.

Jo Dee Messina at the Playhouse: 8-11 p.m. Country singer Jo Dee Messina will be taking the Ridgefield Playhouse stage with special guest Jen Lowe. Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 E. Ridge Road, Ridgefield.

Sunday, Oct. 7

Pamby Half-Marathon: 8 a.m. to noon The 36th Annual Pamby Half-Marathon will start off at the Yanity Gym organized by the Wolfpit Running Club. Money raised will go to various local and community charities. Yanity Gym, 66 Prospect St., Ridgefield.

“Yonkers Joe” Q&A: 7:30-10 p.m. Actor Chazz Palminteri and Director Robert Celestino will be taking part in a question-and-answer session following a screening of their film “Yonkers Joe”, hosted by Morton Dean and Ira Joe Fisher Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 E. Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
