Benthuysen has continued to explore the way late afternoon or early evening light falls on man-made structures through his rooftop paintings series, which he has been working on for the last few years. This series has been described as a reflection of the borderlines between abstraction and realism.

He is the artist in residence for August at Weir Farm National Historic Site in Ridgefield and Wilton.

Admission to his talk is free, but registration is suggested. To register, click here or call 203-762-3950.

The Wilton Library is at 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
