We the People will perform on Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Through the musical stylings of hip-hop and rock, We the People will teach the audience about the three branches of government, the First Amendment, presidential elections and more. The performance is especially appropriate for children in grades 4 to 8.

Harry the Dirty Dog will perform on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Harry the Dirty Dog is based on the classic book by Gene Zion. It uses whimsical humor to teach family values. It’s especially ideal for children in grades K to 2. Both shows are part of The Ridgefield Playhouse’s Arts in Education initiative.

These intimate events typically last one hour and include time for students to speak with the performers after the show. Study guides providing lesson plans for teachers are available. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling the box office at 203-438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street in Ridgefield.
